Learning Objectives

  • Handle lubricants safely from delivery to use. Store them properly, dispense them correctly, and follow safety protocols. You'll prevent spills, reduce waste, and maintain workplace safety standards.
  • Create and follow systematic routes for machinery maintenance. Check equipment and apply lubricants on schedule. This prevents breakdowns and extends machine life.
  • Master oil change and top-up techniques for industrial equipment. Follow proper procedures to extend machine life and prevent costly breakdowns. You'll keep production running smoothly while maintaining safety standards.
  • Choose the right lubricants by mastering base oils and additive systems. Know what's in your oil to make smarter selection decisions that extend equipment life.
  • Choose the right grease for your machines. Match lubricant properties to equipment needs, temperature conditions, and load requirements. You'll extend machine life and prevent costly breakdowns.
  • Keep automatic lubrication systems running smoothly through regular maintenance and troubleshooting. Check for blockages, inspect components, and address issues before they cause equipment failure.
  • Use oil analysis to spot lubricant breakdown and fine-tune your specs. You'll catch problems early and extend equipment life by identifying contaminants before they cause damage.
